Fully Automated Enemy A.I.
Monster A.I. is a print-and-play tool for using automated enemies in your favorite tactical tabletop role-playing games. Monster A.I. is highly compatible with many RPGs, and hackable to fit your game systems and settings.
Monster A.I. is great for low-prep sessions, solo and GM-less gameplay, and for players who want their combat to feel more like Strategy RPG video games like Final Fantasy Tactics and Into the Breach.
Monster A.I. makes it easy to program your own monsters to work with your preferred systems, whether you use d20s or no dice at all.

How it Works
Each monster type has a unique A.I. scheme containing its stats and a list of A.I. behaviors. A monster chooses its actions based on fulfilling the condition tied to that set of actions. A condition can be a special rule such as “if this creature has half of less HP” or “If an ally died this round”. or the condition can be based on proximity with an enemy. With proximity conditions, we check to see if there are any targetable enemies within a certain number of spaces away from the monster. When a condition is fulfilled, the monster performs those actions by using a set of rules for targeting, pathfinding, and maximizing the effectiveness of its actions.
Monster A.I. uses a mostly deterministic set of rules, meaning the monsters do not act randomly — they make their decisions logically.
